DofE Expeditions for Participants with Additional Needs

Peat Rigg is an Approved Activity Provider for the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Our highly trained staff are available to assist you with your DofE expeditions, whether it's training, practice, or the qualifying expedition.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is achievable by any young person who chooses to take up the challenge. Our onsite facilities would allow young people to complete their awards in a restricted space. This allows leaders to choose a challenge for young people that fits with the ethos and aim of the Expedition section, without requiring them to leave our centre.

Canoeing on our lake
Photography projects 
Ecology projects, horticulture and animal management on our Farm 
Mountain Bike workshop
